মার্কিন পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী রাশিয়াকে ইউক্রেনের প্রতি সমস্ত "বেপরোয়া ও আক্রমণাত্মক পদক্ষেপ" বন্ধ করতে বলেছেন।

The US secretary of state has told Russia to cease all "reckless and aggressive actions" towards Ukraine.

বৃহস্পতিবার কিয়েভ সফরের সময় অ্যান্টনি ব্লিংকেন এই মন্তব্য করেছেন যেখানে তিনি শীর্ষ ইউক্রেনীয় কর্মকর্তাদের সাথে দেখা করেছেন।

Antony Blinken made the comments during a trip to Kyiv on Thursday where he met top Ukrainian officials.

রাষ্ট্রপতি ভোলাডিমির জেলেনস্কির পাশাপাশি বক্তব্য রেখে তিনি বলেছেন, মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র দু'দেশের মধ্যে সুরক্ষা সহযোগিতা ও সহায়তা জোরদার করার পরিকল্পনা করছে। 

Speaking alongside President Volodymyr Zelensky, he said the US was looking to strengthen security co-operation and assistance between the two countries.

রাশিয়া ইউক্রেনীয় সীমান্তের কাছে কয়েক হাজার সৈন্য মোতায়েন করার মাত্র কয়েক সপ্তাহ পরে এই সফর। 

The visit comes just weeks after Russia deployed thousands of soldiers close to the Ukrainian border.

মি. ব্লিংকেন বলেছেন, "আমরা অবগত যে রাশিয়া সীমান্ত থেকে কিছু সেনা প্রত্যাহার করে নিয়েছে ... তবে আমরা আরও দেখতে পাচ্ছি যে উল্লেখযোগ্য বাহিনী এবং উল্লেখযোগ্য সরঞ্জাম সেখানে রয়ে গেছে।"

"We are aware that Russia has withdrawn some forces from the border... but we also see that significant forces remain there and significant equipment remains there," Mr Blinken said.

শীর্ষ মার্কিন কূটনীতিক বলেছেন, ওয়াশিংটন পরিস্থিতি খুব নিবিড়ভাবে পর্যবেক্ষণ করছে।

The top US diplomat said Washington was monitoring the situation very, very closely.
