Lesson-3: Go so/as far as to do sth

go so/as far as to do sth = (চরম কোনোকিছু) করা বা বলার পর্যায়ে যাওয়া  [to do or say something extreme]
1. The minister went as far as to call the general students rajakars. = মন্ত্রী সাধারণ ছাত্রদের রাজাকার পর্যন্ত বললেন/বলে ফেললেন।
2. The government went so far as to arrest opposition leaders. = সরকার বিরোধী দলীয় নেতাদের গ্রেপ্তার পর্যন্ত করলেন/ করে ফেললেন।
3. She even went so far as to provide him with a mobile phone, so she could contact him at any time. = সে তাকে একটা মোবাইল পর্যন্ত দিয়ে দিল, যাতে যেকোনো সময় তার সাথে যোগাযোগ করতে পারে।
4. I wouldn't go as far as to say that he's a liar. = সে যে মিথ্যাবাদী সেটা বলার পর্যায়ে যাবো না/ সেই পর্যন্ত বলবো না। ( =তবে খানিকটা অসৎ বলে মনে হয় আর কি।)
